You can customize ur own dynasty warriors character but instead of doing the missions the game tells you to do, you attack any palce you want and take it over. It exactl;y like star wars battle fronty with the same game concept but u can actually capture officers in battle and make them fight for you or let them go. If you lose, you can lose officers.
