An alien shootin' good time

If you haven't played any of the other Area 51 games its ok because Blacksite shares nothing in common with those games besides the name. I personally enjoyed playing Blacksite albeit a little repetitive at times. If you like shooting things and blowing things up then you'll love this game. It gorgeous at times ,but sometimes I think someone forgot to add textures as it gets a bit bland. The weapon selection isn't great either. I beat the entire game and only had 6 weapons. You have your basic 9mm pistol and assault rifle. As you go along you will pick up a sniper rifle, anti-tank rocket launcher ,and a couple of weapons from the "aliens". I can't tell you why I put quotations around the word alien without giving away to much of the story. Anyway you will get a shotgun style weapon and a plasma cannon stlye weapon ,both of which are neat ,but not nearly as fun to use as they sound. The game is broke down into 6 episodes. The first couple are fairly long ,but after that things go by very fast. The final bost battle is a bit tricky ,but no where near impossible. I enjoyed playing Blacksite ,but I think it could have used a few more tweaks that keep it from being a great game.

OMG... What Happened

I remember playing the first Area 51 for the xbox and thinking not bad. Blacksite however is a gross understatement of the word terrible. All these people had to do was improve on what was already there. Do you mean to tell me that a game about Aliens only has about 6 aliens and one alien like crystal. The game play was repetitive, team mates often not listen and you have to tell them to do stuff twice. The A.I. especially the one you play with is dumb.

The game had pretty good graphics still below the optimum levels but ok. Right at the start of my game it sticks, it frequently loads in the middle of battles.

The weapon selection was amazingly poor, only six weapons in the whole damn game. And if you decide to change your weapons for any reason, as soon as the game loads that weapon is history.

Honestly guys after episode 3 you'll probably have a headache from this game. Its not worth 40 points. I mean I'm not a seasoned gamer like some of you but I beat this game in one afternoon.

A Good Graphic Arcade Shooter

As said above, this game is nothing more than that. Explore places and shoot aliens. Wow, how could such a good game get so bad?

Not too good...hopefully the first Area 51 was better.

I never played the first Area 51...but I'm hoping to God that it was better than this one. Campaign was boring and very repetitive. It's too hard to actually pay attention to the story. One good thing about this game was the graphics. Online is completely dead. You will never find a game. If you do, it's people boosting for achievements. Don't spend your money on this game. If you're going for achievements, rent this game as they're not that hard and it's not worth buying.
