AWESOME!!!

I must have played Guitar hero 2 for at least 50 hours, and this game is even better!!1 i got the new guitar and it is sick for the 360 b/c it is wireless and looks like a real guitar only smaller. The boss battles are really cool and creative! right now they dont have any download able songs from xbox live but i hope they get them soon. overall this is a must have game next to halo 3 and gears of war, i wonder how rock band will do compared to this game? but until then every console owner must have this game.

For Those About to Rock...

After a few years and a few Guitar Heroes. Red Octane handed the series of to the company who brought us the Tony Hawk series so Red Octane could work on Rock Band. Neversoft, thank goodness, didn't manage to ruin series. They actually improved it. It doesn't the awesomeness of the first time you picked up that guitar and rocked the virtual crowd, but it gets damn close! The game plays exactly the same way the as the others. For the GH series that is a good thing. One thing Neversoft added was the Battle mode. Instead of star power you get a power that messes up your opponent, for example you can make their notes flash, up their difficulty, and other amusing powers. This feature adds a new twist, but the standard way of facing of is more fun. In terms of graphics they look as if they almost got worse, but they are not that bad. Another thing I don't like, it may sound stupid but, the SINGER he DRIVES ME CRAZY! I will be playing and the camera will zoom on his face distracting me causing me to mess up. At the end of the review I have put and address that shows the singer in the background. Either you love the soundtrack, or you hate if you hate rock. I, personally, love it. I think it is the best one yet. Guitar Hero III will make you rock harder than ever before.

I played this game at a freinds house and it is a blast. I love the new battle mode it was a great addition and i think that the songs on there are the best. And the new charectars are absolutely amazing i think this is deffinately the best of all guitar heros.

Best Guitar Hero Yet!

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is probably the best of the 4 games the series has given out. With Slash on the box cover, it clearly states that the game has matured from the previous entry. The title states “Legends of Rock” and it doesn't lead to disappoint the fans of the series.
In most music games, timing is everything. You actually play the game like you're playing a guitar. You hold one or more of the five buttons while strumming up or down like plucking a string as the notes go by on the fret bar. This gives people who can't play guitar a fun experience, but keeps the musicians interested in developing their skill and talent level.
The soundtrack is filled with songs for everyone. Guitar Hero III features 71 tracks. There are 46 on the main list, and 25 bonus tracks you can unlock in the store. All together Guitar Hero III features 51 master recordings, which is the most featured in a Guitar Hero game. Guitar Hero III features such hits as Slow Ride by Foghat, Rock and Roll all Nite by Kiss, Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses, and new hits such as Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce.
A new feature in this game is the addition of battle mode. There are a few simple rules to battle. One, you must make the person who your battling fail the song, or you lose. Two, you must use different power ups to mess up your opponent. There's “Amp Overload” where the other players notes begin flashing on and off. There's “Whammy Bar” where the person must move his whammy bar maliciously until he fixes his guitar. All together its a fun time with friends, and foes. Online or offline you just can't go wrong.
Another feature that was just mentioned is the addition of online play. You can get together with your friends or foes online and play Guitar Hero with them. You need a Xbox Live subscription, but once you have that, its a fun experience to be had.
The only problem with Guitar Hero III is the tutorial. The tutorial is lead by the “God of Rock” and he teaches you how to become a legend. The problem seen with it is the lack of practice within this tutorial. For a new player anyone could see this as a big problem. With lack of experience, and being thrown out into such classics as Rock and Roll All Nite, and The Number of the Beast, the difficulty could settle in for some people, and possibly could turn them away from the game.
Overall though, the game has definitely improved from Guitar Hero II. The update of the graphics was pretty nice, and the environments are detailed to the tiniest detail. The character animation is a bit creepy, because if you look at the singer at times, he looks pretty scary, and the drummer's animations aren't that impressive. The songlist is a great example of what rock is all about, and it shows off a bit of today's metal and rock hits. With all this said,and a price tag of $60 for the Xbox 360 game, and $80 for the game and new controller, high marks go up for Guitar Hero III.

Guitar At Its Best

Gameplay: The gameplay as usual is amazing. Using a guitar never gets old and very easy to get used to and always get better. Gameplay gets a 5/5.

Story: This is the first guitar hero that actually has scenes between concerts which is really refreshing. The story is the same as always but its appropriate. Story gets a 5/5.

Graphics: The graphics are the best yet and I'm still blown away each time I play the game. I really enjoy the look i get when i play and see the background and the characters playing. Graphics get a 5/5.

Online: Finally. Online makes this a must have. Its so fun to play others as good as you and see how well you are to the whole world. Online brings a new game type and makes this the best guitar hero yet. Online gets a 5/5.

Yeah Baby...ROCK IT!

I had a chance to kick the GH III tires this past Saturday at a competition I held for Halo 3 gamers. Not only did we get to play on an 8 foot screen but the sound system enabled us to ROCK THE HOUSE hard with this one! I was immediately confused by the new layout of the game right out of the box. It took me a few moments to figure out what was what but once I did, it was just like riding a bike. The new songs are needless to say, great. But I must admit I'd expected more. It's my own personal taste but I felt there were some key tunez missing from the track list. Sure, I'll still enjoy playing but who wouldn't. I just think that all of us would like to see a GH title with a lot of the stuff a lot of us expect. Still a great game made even greater by the inclusion of the wireless ax! Get Some!

More Satisfying Than Air Guitar :)

Guitar Hero games are sweet! .... at first. It's super fun to play along with old songs that you love, but after you've beaten them, you have TONS of songs that you don't like waiting! After the joy of playing Pearl Jam, you get the low of trying to play some fast, german metal band song that you could care less about!

That's the main drawback of the Guitar Hero series: lots of boring songs that you're forced to play in order to beat the game. However, it's still awesome to get a perfect scroe, even on a crappy Slayer song :)

this game is great until you beat it on expert and are bored of all the songs. other than that this was well worth the money
