excellent physics demo

Despite what some of the other reviewers of this game have said, Elebits does provide a challenge and a fun exploration of a physics engine if you bother to spend any time on it. Use of the motion controls for the game prove to be very innovative. The basic premise of the game is covered in the first few stages: find tiny creatures that power electrical appliances hidden in a given environment, using a gravity gun not unlike the one in half-life 2. Then the game starts to have fun twisting around that concept. For example, some stages require you to search an area without going over a certain volume level, making you be very careful in placing objects down, some levels are in zero g, some levels you can't let a certain number of objects break, etc, etc. The physics in the game are very accurate and very sensitive which adds to the fun. Also watching the environments you're searching go from one tiny bedroom up to the scale of a whole theme park is pretty exciting, not unlike the feeling one gets in katamari damacy when starting a level rolling up thumb tacks and ending by rolling up entire continents :) In summary; a good game for those that enjoy novel concepts and real life physics explorations. And fun! Only con: opening doors is really frustrating. Four stars!
