I found that if you pull the remote back slowly and smoothly follow through, that you will get a straighter shot, just like in real bowling. Wii Sports Tips:Hint by Smaug317 on March 21, 2007 | report this hint Tennis: Be sure not to hit the ball too early or too late, if you do you will end up hitting it out of the field. Baseball: Be sure to alternate you pitches... don't do the same one too many times. Also, don't throw Splitters too fast, or they will end up being fastballs. Bowling: When you bowl, hold the Wiimote flat in your hand. If you tilt it at all in a direction, the ball will curve that way. Golf: Don't hit the ball too hard. Boxing: Strike with your "off hand" often. They never suspect it. BoxingHint by qweresa on April 08, 2007 | report this hint When you are in the 700's or over, the opponent will get up quickly and you will need to rest. You can press plus and sit down, but that would not raise the energy needed to do a power punch. Lean left and right, trying to avoid punches, and eventually you will see a fuzz. Time will slow, and as soon as time continues, strike. This shot will always be a power punch. tips, hints, tricksHint by mrdan3 on April 09, 2007 | report this hint Knock Down All Pins In Bowling Training

Pitch Underhand In BaseballHint by qweresa on April 10, 2007 | report this hint While pitching, press 2 before throwing. To return to a normal overhand pitching, press 1. TennisHint by qweresa on May 01, 2007 | report this hint As soon as you have picked your player, press and hold 1 and 2. The playing field will switch from the normal game field to the training field. You will know this has happened when you pick the game type, and blue will show up in the background. blue court in tennisHint by MARV1394 on June 04, 2007 | report this hint before the screen goes black to select how many matches to play hold the 2 button on the wii-mote when it is black and it will be blue wii sports tipsHint by grunge226 on June 10, 2007 | report this hint tennis: this is common sense, but basically what i do is hit the ball early or late to get the angle and direction i want the ball to go in, and i try to make the opponent run as far as possible for the ball. eventually they will not be able to keep up. also on your serves, try to hit the ball at its peak height for a serve that is much faster and sometimes gets you aces (an ace is a serve in tennis that is not returned in court). you can also try to spin the ball, but this isnt as easy, as it is not accurate to real life tennis motions to put topspin, backslice, etc. i found that it is easiest to do wen u go almost directly sideways to the left or right. wii sports tipsHint by grunge226 on June 10, 2007 | report this hint baseball: when i pitch, i never ever throw a pitch over the middle for a strike. press left or right on the d pad to select a direction (and up or down resets it to the middle). i pitch extremely slow most of the time as well, as believe it or not, slow pitches are harder to hit fback farther. almost everytime they hit a soft groundball. i pitch mostly all slow fastballs inside, sometimes outside, and sometimes i throw splitters, usually slow as well. occasionally i will throw screwballs to the right (from the pitchers point of view) because outside or middle screwballs will end up over the plate, and for curves i do vice versa, toward the left from the pitchers point of view, since right or middle curves will end up over the plate. all of these directions will be vice versa if you are left handed. also, i usually pitch over the top, not sidearm (you can throw sidearm by pressing 2). as for batting, there isn't much i can say. just stay aware and ready to swing. u dont need a full haymaker swing, just swing farely hard. i usually hold the bat a little bit more toward the front of me opposed to over my shoulder (but then again sometimes i dont, but i usually do wen i want to be prepared). this will allow a quicker reaction and more cahnce of contact. also, MAKE THE PITCHER THROW STRIKES!!! do not swing at balls, u will get nothing out of them. as for splitters, u can tell they are splitters by their movement. they will have little to no spin and funny movement. you will be able to see this with practice. curves and screwballs are easy to see as they move right from the get go. just remember to only swing at strikes. be disciplined. all of the previous should help a lot, as in baseball my rating is usually hovering around a 2100 rating. wii sports tipsHint by grunge226 on June 10, 2007 | report this hint bowling: i usually go to the right side (i'm right handed). i dont go all the way over, just a couple notches starting from where the line is directly next to touching the gutter. you then have to find a consistent spin and release method. try to to throw the ball in the air; try to actually roll it. if you throw to hard, u will get no spin practically. if you throw to soft, it will spin too much. just go to the same spot or at least close to it and keep a consistent swing, keeping the same power, motion, and spin, and u should get strikes almost everytime. wii sports tipsHint by grunge226 on June 10, 2007 | report this hint golf: for this, pretty much just practice. its all trial and error. u always must factor in the wind. when you are putting, press 1 (it might be 2) to show elevation levels of the green, and adjust ur aim appropriately. light colors are high elevations, dark colors are low ones. think of how the hills would affect the ball in real life to know how much to adjust ur swing (u must adjust it even wen a couple feet from the hole, it affects it that much). also, look on the map at the line of aim and the dots. there are 4 dots. these correspond to your power meter. for example, if u hit the ball with as much power as 3 dots (the 4th dot being full power), it will theoretically land on the 3rd dot of the line on the map. this is without fatoring the wind, however. also, of course, u wouldn't want your ball to land on the hole, as it will just go over, so u shouldn't do as much power that would make it reach the hole, as obviously it has a much greater chance of going toward the hole if it is less power and rolls toward the hole, opposed to having the ball land near the hole, as it will just roll past it. wii sports tipsHint by grunge226 on June 10, 2007 | report this hint boxing: for boxing, just get smooth punches in. do not punch rapidly like a retard, as the miis cannot punch that fast. just relax and throw simple combos and do not punch too hard. you can punch more upward for headhits, and straight/lower for body shots, u can also throw hooks and uppercuts (these are harder to do, as the wii does not read your movements well; for upper cuts you pretty much have to punch directly up). if u point the remotes together, your mii will block. i like to use this method of blocking. i allow the opponent to throw a couple punches, but i am blocking them, and when the opponent is finished her attack, i then immediately punch him/her as much as i can, then block again and repeat this. Improving Your GameHint by tuck179 on July 01, 2007 | report this hint If you want to improve on any of the games on this game you must learn how to really use your wrist with the wii remote. Especially in tennis. If you just flick your wrist instead of using your whole arm, your game will definately increase giving a lot better scores. BowlingHint by therealog92 on July 24, 2007 | report this hint Its more of a tip but for people who just cant seeem to throw a straight ball like me you should throw the ball higher in the air. The closer the ball is to the ground in your realease the more spin will be on the ball but the higher the ball is thrown on the realease there will be less spin on the ball. This works extremely well for spares. Bowling on others lanesHint by MrHughJass on August 04, 2007 | report this hint If you situate your Mii all the way to either corners and move him facing other peoples lanes, it is possible but very hard, you can throw the ball onto the other persons lane and the pins you knockdown go into your score. TennisHint by Wii Ownz All on August 23, 2007 | report this hint To Power Serve, Hit the ball when it's at it's highest point; when it won't go up further, but it hasn't come down yet. Then it will be a very hard serve and if you have a low skill level, the opponent will often miss it. Also, once you choose your Character and press continue, immediately hold 1 + 2 and then you will get to play on the practice court. It is the same course that the Training minigames use. It doesn't change gameplay at all, but there are courts next to yours (Without other people playing) and there aren't any people watching. How to get good at bowling.Hint by Vidmaster on September 16, 2007 | report this hint For those of you struggling with bowling (lack of strikeage) here's afew tips on how to get a good score. 1. If your ball has spin when you bowl (even when you dont want it too) it's ok, use it to your advantage. just adjust your stance a bit before you bowl (move your mii to the left or right depending on your spin) 2. always try to release the ball when its lowest to the ground, so there is as little bonce as possible, and to throw it as hard as you can so you can hit knock over alot of pins. I used these tips and i have 1,317 skill points. Great hints.Hint by Mood93 on November 03, 2007 | report this hint This game is so fun. one of the hints is when you are playing tennis to hit the ball at the climax of the serve and it will hit a fast hard server that ur opponent will often not hit back. If you move left and right when you box you will dodge the hits. big strikeHint by alexp1994 on December 02, 2007 | report this hint when in traing mode for bowling in which every time you send a ball down the lane you get more pins, on the last one, 91 pins i think, look at the rail on either side you should see a little red button, adjust your shot, bowl the ball down the rail, hit the button and an earthquake will happen giving you a 91 pin strike, however it will take a little practice to achive it |
