Titled Kaido Battle: Touge no Densetsu, this third entry in the series is meant to be more of an update to the second Kaido Battle, rather than a full-blown sequel. The Kaido Battle series takes place in the year 20XX. All of Japan's main roads have been turned into racing circuits, with official races taking place during the afternoon and unofficial battles taking place at night. In addition to new story elements, new cars and tracks (including races on of Japan's northern Hokkaido off-road regions) have been added to this edition.
