Speechless. Graphics are outstanding, sound impecable, gameplay fantastic. It is a simple 10/10 game. Only thing I did not like about this game its that IT IS TOO REAL. I think i enjoyed RFOM more because of this same issue but I know other players out there is exactly what they are looking for.

Short game you probably finish it in 4-5 hours in regular mode.... BUt still it is amazingggggg...
Meant to be 5 stars!

Great game

The graphics on this game are unreal. I especially liked the sniper missions. The game is somewhat short, but it is definitely worth the buy. Multiplayer is awesome as well. I am looking to swap for Unchartered: Drake's Fortune when it comes out next week so if you have it I would swap you.

call of duty 4 is the best game i have ever seen for the ps3 so far. the graphics are amazing and the story mode is a little to short but the online is amazingly addictive i can play it for hours on end. the weapons online can be customized to how you want your gun to be. if you own a ps3 and are looking for a new game buy call of duty 4

Great online game thats all i got to say. There really is nothing bad to say about this game. They could have made the online lobby better where you can pick the game and make your own without out it being private, but overall it was a great online game. I agree the game itself was kind of short, but I mainly play for the online.

I have nothing negative to say about this game. Both the 'mission' mode as well as the 'on-line' mode are excellent! As you may have imagined, the graphix are superb! One of the best games I've played on PS3! ... I'll be keeping this one, for a while!

Story is too easy and short but mazing graphics great online mode and the new update you dont have to wait to join a game unlike halo 3 :p
Love the ranking system is unike,best first person game ive played,the only thing that theres no vehicle :(

This is one of the best shooting games on the market for the ps3. The story mode is great and the online is even better. The more you rank up on the online, the better weapons you get. Not only that but you can make a clan tag, complete challenges, and party up with your friends. A must buy for the year of 2008.

Great multiplayer

COD4 is a REALLY good game, i've never seen such graphics since i played uncharted: drake's fortune, and that was hot stuff. you have a reeeaally big range of weapons to take in use, and prototypes of weapons that will maybe get made in the near future, and the soundeffects is incredible, until now the only bad thing i've noticed is that the game is too short, but instead of having a long game that is boring, i think its better to have a short game which is fantastic.

its a great online game too, you can create your man from scratch, and get more things as you go up in rangs.

overall its a great game thats worth playing,

Outstanding. An excellent shooter. It has amazing graphics, sound, and it runs smoothly. It has a decent single player campaign, even though it is short. The game is scary realistic and It has all right replay value.
Where the game really excells is in the multiplayer. It has plenty of maps and gamemodes to choose from. Wicked awesome online play that will having up all night.

BUT....It took awhile, but Infinity Ward finally got the message that World War II is played out. With modern times and international affairs becoming more and more, shall we say, interesting in recent years, the 1940s just don't carry as much weight as they used to. Perhaps that's why Call of Duty 4 has a new subtitle, Modern Warfare. By bringing things into a fictionalized story that still seems fairly plausible, the developer has made a much heavier game. But COD 4 is more than just an updated setting. It's also an amazing multiplayer first-person shooter and a great but brief single-player campaign with the visual chops to make it a standout shooter in an era filled with seemingly dozens of standout shooters. The only real catch is that the single-player is almost shockingly short. If you've been keeping up with this style of game, you'll probably shoot your way to the credits in under five hours. While you can raise the difficulty to give yourself more of a challenge, the main thing this does is make the enemies frustratingly deadly, which sort of detracts from the fun.

If You Want The Best For Your Money

Its all about the money these days. People are scared to fork out 60 bucks for a video games. But, COD4 gives the consumer a helluva time for the money. The story mode itself is very good, a very deep storyline with breathtaking graphics. What sets the game apart from the competition is the online gameplay. A variety of gamemodes including Headquarters and Search and Destroy gives each player an option to do. The leveling up system works beautifully, the system attracts all facets of gamers to play it. In which, would lead up to players playing for days on end. Best online game ever in my opinion, Halo 2 is very close to it but Halo 3 didn't awe me but it is certainly good too. But, COD4 rises as the champion

Very good, but...

I have a hard time rating this game poorly because it truly is a great shooter game. The reason I consider it at all is because I think this addition to the Call of Duty series is far too close to all other modern warfare games. I don't know what it is, but I really liked the simplicity of the previous COD games. Things have gotten increasingly more complicated and the weapons a little more powerful. I'm sure that's really cool for a lot of people, but for me, I really prefer COD 2 or 3.

That all being said, there is still a lot to be said for the cool storyline and intense online play, which is a staple for this series.

Online is a blast.

Now before I start tell you the greatest things about this game I am going to state that it is almost similar to Rainbow6 Vegas but much easier to play and you will not get bored.

This version is the best and war fighting game available to date (considering that Rainbow6 II is coming out soon). The off line game play is great but if you set it to rookie it can be beaten in 3 and a half hours...on veteran it can take a while...(I beat it in 10+ hours). That to me was just practice because the online mode was where the fun really was. The military rank structure is set up for the users to have some type of accomplishment. For every target you down with a weapon you obtain points and after maxing out weapons you can get more points towards promotion. This system will keep many people playing and not get bored of it fast. And the details in the graphics are out of this world! (it is not as colorful as Heavenly Sword, but it looks very realistic for sure!) If you don t have this game and you like FPS, then look on the craigslist or ebay for a good deal, because if you are luck you will be able to get it here.

BEST EVER!!!!!!- this is the best most addicting game i've ever played! lol. the singleplayer was short and sweet and challenging on veteran difficulty. the multiplayer is like crack and will control your life. its fun to get the challenges for the weapons and other stuff. it is just amazing

everytime i buy a new game it seems i still leave them in the corner and play this...they have many diffenernt things to custumize your weapons with this would be the top game i reccomend

Awe... wait for it.......Some!

This is one of my favorite games ever for any console! It was awesome that they finally changed from Germany WWII to Iraq now.
Graphics: 10/10
This game has the best graphics ever! I have never seen such a game that was so crystal clear. Most of the ones that have good graphics have slow frames but this game has like 240 per second!
Campaign: 7/10
This game has about a 7-8 hour campaign. It is still very fun and will keep you on your seat.
Story: 9/10
One of the best stories for a game ever!
Multiplayer: 8/10
It has a very fun Multiplayer for people who have had been playing the multiplayer for a long time. You can unlock stronger weapons to use if you play longer, which makes it unfair for many newcomers.
Arcade: 9/10
The arcade feature will keep you busy for a long time. It is fun and could be made into a real arcade game if they toned down the blood.
Overall: 8/10
It would have been better with a longer campaign. It was also a drag that the only players were British and American(Hint: You play as the American for about 5 mission) compared to American, British, and Russin in 1 and 2, and American, British, Canadian(super cereal), and the Polish.


###SPOILER ALERT###

A confirmation by ign says that the next game in the series is going to be made by the people who made COD 3. It will not be made in Europe WWII or Iraq now. They siad that it will be in a new theater. Expect to see Korea or Vietnam, possibly the Pacific Theater of WWII.

call of duty 4 is THE best game i have ever played in my life. The singleplayer could be better but the online is simply amazing. This game is more addicting than WOW and trust me...THATS A GOOD THING!! The grapics are the best thing ever(especially if you have a HD tv), the sound of the guns could probaly be mistook as a real gun. Overall...NOTHING can beat this game...NOTHING!!

This game is my favorite PS3 game. It has the best online i have ever seen. With over 22 modern customizable weapons you can just own noobs. I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes shooting games. Also the single player is fun to do if you dont have online. If you dont have i think you should get it.

Man, I was lucky enough to get in on the beta for this game. It is just great. It took all the great things about cod 2 and added leveling to the game. I do have to say that by now you are gonna get crushed online. There are 12 year olds out there that spend every waking moment playing this game and will freakin destroy a casual gamer. Still fun though.
