Star Fox Assault

Story good but too short but incredible multiplayer! on November 11, 2008

Out of all the starfox games I ever played I would say all of them are great shooters besides starfox adventures. But this one was very great but a lot of the game had some flaws but overall its good and fun and thats what matters the most that it's fun. First of all the Storyline, The Lylat system is still trying to destroy the remaining forces of Andross that is led by his nephew, Oikanie, thats when your called in. You are introduced to the Arwing and are put in combat just like good times. Later after you break through the forces and fight Oikanie you later then find a wierd moth robot thing called an Aparoid, a parasitic alien race bent on taking over the universe and you must stop them. The story line and battles are intense and great but the story is too short about 10 levels total but each level is long with objectives and stuff. Combat in this game has evolved from the older versions. You can fight on ground or arwing or landmaster together on the same level so in other words you can jump out of arwing then go into landmaster. The controls of this game are good and not that hard to master but it can get confusing at times. The sound is poor, the voices of the characters are blurred during conversations and bad but thankfully they put text so players wont get confused. The multiplayer I can only say one word about it, Awesome! Seriously the multiplayer here makes up a lot of the games flaws. The terrains are cool and battles can vary from Arwing only battle or landmaster battle only or ground with weapons only. A lot of unlockables can be used for the multiplayer like new levels or new modes or weapons. Plus you can put your immagination into your battles which makes them more fun that ever so in other words you can think of many ways to make the battle fun. Despite the lack of a long storyline and poor sound the multiplayer makes it last, so overall this game is a must get for starfox fans out there.
